Potato in Bombay Duck (Bombil)

Ingredients 

  • Potato in Bombay Duck8-10 Bombay Ducks (cleaned and drained)
  • 1 tbsp chilly powder
  • 1 tbsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 Small Sized thinly sliced potato
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • Salt to Taste
  • 2-3 Green Chilies
  • 3-4 smashed Garlic flakes

Method

  1. Marinate the Bombay Ducks and potato with chilly powder, turmeric powder, lemon juice, finely chopped green chilies and salt. Keep aside for ½ an hour.
  2. Heat oil in a vessel. Add smashed garlic flakes and shallow fry till they turn slightly brown.
  3. Now add the marinated Bombay Ducks and simmer for a while.
  4. Add the thinly sliced potato.
  5. Cover the vessel and allow the ingredients to cook in its own water.
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  7. Serve hot.
