Ingredients
1 kg fish filleted and cubed
- 2/3 cup Yogurt
- 1 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 2 tsp grated coconut
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2tsp chilly powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp oil
- 1 Bay Leaf
- 1 tsp broken cinnamon
- cloves
- 1 tsp crushed black pepper
- 2 tsp oil
- Coriander leaves to garnish
Method
- Mix turmeric powder, chilly powder, garlic paste, salt and lemon juice into the yogurt and marinate the fish in it for 10 minutes.
- Heat oil and add bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves, black pepper and onions. Saute till onions become soft. Add coconut and sauté till they become lighth brown.
- Add tomatoes and cook till access water dries. Blend the whole mixture in a blender.
- Heat the rest of the oil and add fish. Stir fry over high heat till it turns opaque.
- Add the ground paste and simmer over low heat till fish is cooked. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
