Ingredients
I kg potatoes
- 150 gms grated cheese
- I finely chopped onion
- 1 finely chopped green chilli
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Wash the potatoes and boil in salt water for 7 minutes.
- Drain and cool.
- Peel potatoes and grate coarsely or slice thin.
- Melt butter in frying pan. Add onion and cook for one minute.
- Spread potatoes in the pan.
- Sprinkle chilli, cheese, salt and peppei on top and cook on a slow flame for 10 minutes.
- Turn the potato mixture upside down all together in one piece.
- Cook until crisp and brown on the underside.
- Loosen the edges with a spatula and invert on plate.
