Peppy Potatoe


  • Peppy PotatoesI kg potatoes
  • 150 gms grated cheese
  • I finely chopped onion
  • 1 finely chopped green chilli
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Wash the potatoes and boil in salt water for 7 minutes.
  2. Drain and cool.
  3. Peel potatoes and grate coarsely or slice thin.
  4. Melt butter in frying pan. Add onion and cook for one minute.
  5. Spread potatoes in the pan.
  6. Sprinkle chilli, cheese, salt and peppei on top and cook on a slow flame for 10 minutes.
  7. Turn the potato mixture upside down all together in one piece.
  8. Cook until crisp and brown on the underside.
  9. Loosen the edges with a spatula and invert on plate.
